Grove Realtors, formerly Downers Grove Realty, was established in 1948 and is an independent family-owned business.  We are dedicated to helping each and every customer move toward a brighter, happier future.  For 33 years, Downers Grove Realty was located at 743 Ogden Avenue.  Many companies in those days found Ogden Avenue “the place to be” as Chicagoans drove West on Ogden to the “rural suburbs,” known for clean air and surrounding farmlands.  The word was, “Downers Grove is a good place to raise a family,” with exceptional schools and an excellent Park District… it still is!

Back in the early days, Realtors^® displayed pictures of their listings in front office windows so that drivers-by could pull up and see what each had to offer.  Realtors became close friends as they mastered the art of cooperation.  Telephones were the primary means of access for Realtors to see what listings other offices had available.  Early Realtors saw the need to speed up the information exchange system and thus formed a local board using the Multiple Listing Service to deliver all listings in a printed form to every office.  This advancement was very ‘futuristic,’ although incredibly slow by present day standards!

Today we have the latest technology and up-to-the-minute information on new listings and sales.  Grove Realtors is a part of The Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois with over 50,000 agents.   Grove Realtors is also a member of Realtor.com, ChicagoTribune.com, and International Relocation Services, an affiliation with 2,500 brokers nationwide which assists our customers with their relocation or transfer process.  We currently have thirty-three professional Realtors with language fluency in Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, French, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Croatian, Serbian and Tagalong.
